New Paintings

(Performance)

DESCRIPTION
100 bottles were filled with paint and 100 instruction cards were printed. A vinyl sticker with the words”DOUG GAST NEW PAINTINGS” was temporarily adhered to the wall. Gallery attendants were instructed to be sure five of the bottles and five instruction cards were on the shelf at all times.

The instruction cards read:

DOUG GAST
NEW PAINTINGS

Take a jar (one per person, please)

Use some (or all) of the paint inside

Document its use (any form is welcome)

Email the documentation to [email protected] (or bring it to the gallery)

Documentation will appear in the gallery and on noprogram.org
